A dynamic and vibrant poultry farmers association that empowers farmers to be self-reliant.
To provide relevant information and data, enhance sustainable poultry farming practices and advocate for poultry farmers' interests.
Recommend individual members or self help groups to financial institutions for credit acquisition.
Facilitate collective input acquisition and marketing of poultry products to benefit from economies of scale.
Facilitate groups proposal writing to prospective donors.
Organize for educative tours, exchange visits and field days.
Link groups to relevant development partners and networks.
Facilitate information collection and dissemination to and from members.
Lobby and advocacy for favorable policies and business environment.
✓ A functional office with a secretariat at the National Beekeeping Institute.
✓ Organizing county poultry platforms, six already set up: Machakos, Kisumu, Siaya, Homabay, Kakamega and Bungoma.
✓ Trained Farmers on Organizational development (OD) and Poultry Farming as a Business (FaaB).
✓ The Association has continued to build capacity of its members on business development.
✓ The Association has an ongoing recruitment drive and already has branches in 26 counties.
✓ The Association in partnership with The Ministry of Agriculture Livestock and Fisheries has formulated a National Poultry policy (Sessional paper No.6 of 2013) and a draft Poultry Development Bill.
✓ Build capacity of Bomet Farmers on poultry production and management hence a vibrant cooperative in place.
✓ The Association has conducted poultry production and management trainings in nine counties.
✓ The Association has trained youth poultry farmers on poultry production and management in six counties.
✓ The Association has trained 20 Trainer of Trainers (TOTs) of farmers in 3 counties.
